Does AI shopping replace SEO?

Short answer: no — but it changes the math. AI shopping is a new channel running alongside search, with its own rules, and the stores that treat it as separate from SEO are the ones that win it.

Search isn’t going away

Plenty of shoppers still type into Google and click. SEO still drives real revenue. Nothing here says stop doing it.

But a growing slice never sees a results page

When a shopper asks an agent and buys from its answer, there was no search page, no scroll, no click on your listing. That impression simply never existed for you — unless you were one of the few the agent surfaced. As that behaviour grows, the stores that are invisible to agents lose sales they can’t even see going.

Where to invest
